Introducing Clipsal HomeMinder
Clipsal HomeMinder integrates, or links, all of your home’s
electrical systems, such as lighting and home theatre equipment.
This enables you to control any device from anywhere in the house
that you choose.
Whether you’re at home, at work or on holidays, Clipsal
HomeMinder makes your home comfortable and secure. Press a
button and your home looks after itself when you leave. Press
another button when you arrive home to create the perfect
environment. All of a sudden, you have more time to do the things
you want to do.
A keypad near the front door is used
to select any number of ‘Modes’. For
instance, when leaving for work enter
your personal code to activate the
‘Away Mode’. This automatically arms
the security system, and turns off
air-conditioning and any lights that
remain on in the house.
Select Holiday Mode when leaving the
house for an extended period. This will
activate the security system and
ensure that the garden is watered
regularly. It will also give your home
the ‘lived in’ look, turning lights,
music, TVs, etc, on at night and
opening curtains during the day.

a remote control located in the car you
can open the garage door, turn on
entrance lights and disarm the
security system.
Total control
The Clipsal HomeMinder System offers a range of control
devices, each of which can be mounted to the wall in any number
of locations that you wish. As any button can control any function
that you like, selecting controls is really a matter of personal taste.
Controls vary from movement sensors and press-button switches
to keypads with displays that provide information of the system.
The Crestron Controller can even be connected to the Internet to
provide information on the stock market, the news and weather,
on the keypad’s display.
Phone Access
Your mobile phone, or in fact any phone
that you like, can even be used as a control
device. Simply call home and enter a
code to access Clipsal HomeMinder. A
voice prompt will then list a range of control
options, which can be selected by
pressing buttons on the phone.
