Boars Rock is another of Hansen Electrics long standing clients
which approached our electrical division to upgrade one of their
tankfarms.
The project was to add 75 new tanks into the existing South tankfarm.
This meant that the existing cable trays and switchboards had to
be re-used and upgraded to take the new cabling which was needed.
Because of a very quick vintage, the tanks needed to be used very shortly after they were installed. This required
a lot of co-operation and teamwork to get the tanks ready in time to be used.
Each tank needed an agitator, and there was a lot of general lighting
and power. Over 3km of cable was run out during the course of the
project. Extra cable trays were installed, and galvanized conduit
was used for all cables where not in a cable tray.
